Office Assistant
Tierra Shaniece Sundy graduated from Harlan High School in 2007. She was a member the Harlan Softball Team, Varsity Cheerleading squad, and FEA (Future Educators of America). Tierra continued her education at Kentucky State University were she majored in Elementary Education and received her Bachelor’s Degree. This is Tierra’s first year working with Upward Bound Math Science and enjoys the opportunity she was given and plans to work with UBMS in the future.
Aaron Garland

Tutor / Counselor
Aaron Garland graduated with honors from Harlan County High School in 2012. He was a member of the track team as well as the jazz band. After high school Aaron attended Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College where he earned an Associates of Science after two years. While attending there he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and served as the chairman of Southeast’s Kentucky Federation of College Republicans chapter. Aaron will be attending the University of Kentucky in the fall where he plans to major in Civil Engineering.
Braxton Fields

Braxton Fields graduated from Harlan County High School with an Academic Honors Diploma in 2012. He was Valedictorian of his graduating class. At Harlan County, Braxton was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, and the baseball team. He earned an athletic scholarship to play baseball at Georgetown College, as well as academic scholarships. At Georgetown, Braxton is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and the baseball team. He plans to major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Upon graduating from Georgetown, Braxton plans to attend Dental School.
Zack Howard

Zachary Alexander Howard graduated from Harlan High School in 2011. In high school he participated in Marching Band, Beta Club, Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and graduated a Harlan Scholar. From there Zachary attended Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and graduated with an Associates of Science and an Associates of Arts. While at SKCTC he was vice president of Phi Theta Kappa, president of the Student Government, and a member of the All KCTCS Academic Team. Zachary plans to further his education at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy in the fall. He is also a proud member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Danielle Brock

Danielle Renee Brock graduated from Harlan County High School in 2011. In high school she was a member of the Cheerleading Team, National Honors Society, and president of the French Club. She also received an Academic Honors Diploma. From there Danielle attended Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and graduated with an Associate of Science. While at SKCTC she was a chapter officer of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. She will be attending Eastern Kentucky University to pursue a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology focused on pre-veterinary sciences. She then plans to attend Veterinary School.
Ruth Frost

Ruth Ann Frost graduated from Bell County High School in 2009. From there she attended Southeast Community and Technical College. She graduated from Southeast with an Associate of Science in 2011. While at SKCTC she was a student ambassador and participated in student government. She is currently attending Eastern Kentucky University pursuing her bachelor’s degree of Elementary Education and will be a senior in the fall. She plans to graduate from EKU in 2015 and go on to pursue her master’s in elementary education.
Scott Pace

I graduated from Evarts High School in 1992 and attended Union College in Barbourville, KY where I received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Education, Master’s Degree in Principalship and Rank I certification in Educational Leadership and Supervision. I also have a teaching endorsement for Information Technology. I have taught at the secondary level for approximately 15 years and currently teach Web Design, Advanced Multimedia, Computer and Technology Applications and Cisco/Networking at Harlan County High School.I enjoy spending time with my family, in the outdoors and traveling.
