Amanda Creech



Amanda Creech is Director of Upward Bound Math Science. Amanda is originally from northern Kentucky where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biology at Northern Kentucky University. This is Amanda’s third summer with UBMS. She is married to Brad and has a cat named Coco. Amanda enjoys spending time with the students and helping them prepare for and be successful in college.

Jennifer Brackett



Educational Specialist

Jennifer Brackett is the Education Specialist for the Upward Bound Math Science program. She also taught the College Preparation course this summer.  She advises the Senior/Bridge students in the program for college readiness. She also works alongside another TRIO program at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, Academic Advantage. She attended Lincoln Memorial University to obtain her bachelor degree in Education. She has been with the UBMS since February 1, 2013 and enjoys helping students achieve their goals.

Jennifer Cooper


Office Assistant 

Jennifer Cooper works in the UBMS office. Jennifer received the Commonwealth Diploma from James A. Cawood High School in 1995. Jennifer received her Associates in Accounting from Southern Ohio College in 2000, where she was on the Dean's List during her time there. She is currently enrolled in Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and will receive her Associates of Art in Fall 2015. Jennifer then plans to transfer to Eastern Kentucky University to purse a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. Jennifer has two children, Sean and Tristan.

Zachary A. Howard


Database Specialist

Zachary Alexander Howard graduated from Harlan High School in 2011. In high school he participated in Marching Band, Beta Club, Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and graduated a Harlan Scholar. From there Zachary attended Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and graduated with an Associates of Science and an Associates of Arts.  While at SKCTC he was vice president of Phi Theta Kappa, president of the Student Government, and a member of the All KCTCS Academic Team.  Zachary is currently enrolled in East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy pursing a Doctorate of Pharmacy.  He is also a proud member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity.
